TomTom Go Mobile on Android Auto

After many years using TomTom Go on the phone, successfully, I now use it in Android Auto also. Unfortunately at least 5 features are not available when running in Android Auto, so I will use a competitors product, which does retain those features.

I agree.
I wrote about this in my blog's article (Most Annoying Things).
We all know that Android Auto has some limitations, but they can't be reasons for some problematic features.

It's Google that limits certain functions on Android Auto

Google uses templates from the Android for Cars app library to ensure that all Android Auto™ apps have a similar look and feel, as well as screen elements that are familiar to the user. The TomTom GO Navigation app has been adapted to use these models, making it available via Android Auto™.

Some things aren't limitations on Android Auto. Reporting for a speed camera is an example. I don't understand, why this isn't available on AA (but it is available on AmiGO for example).

The route bar on the right doesn’t show the arrival time on Android Auto. I don’t know why. The route bar on Android Auto also isn’t available for clicking.

Searching on Android Auto (especially on cars with rotary buttons instead of touch screens) is almost unusable and danger. You have to use the rotary button to enter every single character. Slow and annoying. Why – at least – doesn’t it show categories like they are shown on the phone? Users can use the application on the phone, but it really isn’t convenient to switch. A voice search would help a lot.

There are some more similar limitations. I don't remember them and I have a car with AA on the service these days, so I can't check.

With latest update, now in average speed camera zone I get a repeated warning if I am in that zone.
Where as before the warning was only at the start of the zone, this is an improvement.
