TomTom 910 Go - Dead and won't start

Hi,

I was upgrading the Navcore without a great deal of experience. The TomTom no longer starts up or does anything. I have pressed the reset button with a paper clip for 20 seconds but nothing. I press the power up button whilst the reset button is press and apart from a green light....nothing. My PC doesn't find the device when hooked up.

Any suggestions please?

Hello and welcome. The x10 series have the reset hole hidden.

Please verify that this is the location you are using to reset the device.

If the green light stayed on - you may not have gotten it into (nice picture Pedro) the right spot and/or all the way in. It is real tricky, but should work.

I use to feel a SLIGHT give then bottoming when I did it right.

Hi,

Managed to do it now thanks. I did use this reset location and pressed it in for over 20 seconds. I did it over ten times out of frustration.

Then it started. I prompted deleted the TomTom's drive and reinstalled the back up.

Works as good as new !
