Tom Tom Via125 live Switching Off

Afternoon all. I am new to this forum. My Tomtom Via125 live keeps switching off. It starts up, I input where I want it to navigate to, it starts to find destination and then a spinning wheel on RHS of screen appears and then it switches itself off! Then shortly after, it will decide to switch itself on again and then you go through a similar process.... Totom website says my device is “no longer supported” , no new map updates available but unit will continue working on existing map but......... Anyone any ideas please?

From your description, it sounds more like the device is in a perpetual boot cycle as opposed to 'switching off'.
Let's try something easy. When the device is off, hold down the power button until you hear the TomTom drums and then release it. That will force a hard boot of the device. See if it is still stuck in a boot cycle after you plan a new route.

Hi Canderson- unfortunately I have tried this and it made no difference
