Tom Tom Home Moving from XXL to 1605

Hello:

I have just upgraded from a Tom Tom XXL to a Tom Tom Via 1605 TM. I still have the XXL, it still functions, and, most importantly to this posting, the Tom Tom Home software for the XXL is still on my main laptop.

I want to connect my 1605 TO THIS SAME LAPTOP. Do I need to uninstall the version of Tom Tom Home that paired with the XXL, or, conversely, do I even need to install a new version of Home on the laptop for the 1605. Will the old version, which I just updated, do fine???

Also, be advised that I intend to transfer extensive custom POI info, which was backed up from the XXL, and is on the laptop in question, to the 1605.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Many thanks in advance!!!!
