Tom TOm died

My brand new Tom tom XL 340 has died.. I explicitly followed the instructions and updated the maps etc from the Home page.. The page updated and then said it had to restart my Tom Tom. The Tom Tom restarted or tried to and went into a rolling screen.. I let it go for quite some time thinking it had to go through some sort of procedure. 15 minutes later it was still rolling and unresponsive. I shut it off and tried to restart it.. Now all I have is a blank screen. The My Tom Tom Home will not start now either..

I just got this unit for Xmas and am very disappointed that I cannot use it ..

I'd suggest returning it for a different unit, then.

Those may be too rare to find in a store.
