Tom -Comes on and Shows battery @1/4 or so, with a caution sign and then shuts down even with the charger plugged in.
Is the battery done?
What is proper way to best maintain the battery?

Are you sure the car charger is working? Sounds as if no power is getting supplied to the unit. Can you try charging it for a few hours with the cable that connects to thew pc?

Don't use a usb hub for the connection. One on the back of the pc is a better choice.
