Texting and driving

If they've already banned talking on a hand-held phone itself, then this is a logical progression as it can even be more distracting that talking on the phone, though not for nearly as long a time.

Whether or not I agree with it is a different story. If you were found at fault because you were yapping on your phone, then you should take the insurance hit (and whatever else comes your way).

And note that it says "sending" not receiving. But you better not acknowledge that message you got.
 
Yes it should be outlawed. There are people out there who can barely drive while giving 100% attention to the road. They're a time bomb if their texting.
