Hello, I followed Bristoliano's instructions, downloaded the file and copied everything to a card I created to test. I tested the card in the car's navigation system to make sure it was working properly. I then copied the data from the downloaded file to the root of the card and upon reinserting it into the navigation system the hourglass appeared and everything seemed normal. The warning not to tamper with the GPS while driving appeared and the correct time was displayed on the screen, but then the navigation system turned off and the hourglass reappeared, restarting the whole process repeatedly.
When I delete the copied files, everything works normally again, but the time still does not appear on the screen.
Maybe it's a problem with the device or version; I don't know.
I'm not very good at this kind of thing, but I'll keep trying and if I succeed, I'll post an update.

Ineens geen tijdsindicatie meer. Wel 9 satelieten ontvangst. Tijd is aan te passen/synchroniseren maar houd het niet vast. West Europa versie 11.65 alles opnieuw geinstalleerd en zelfs Quickfix verwijderd en opnieuw erop. accu los gehad oude kaart erin 10.02 maar ook daar zelfde probleem dat...

Good morning, first of all, thank you for all your help.

I finally got everything working. Now that it's resolved, I'd like to explain my case in case it helps someone else.

1. My card is an original Renault TomTom, so I made a backup using TomTom Home. You can also make a backup by copying the files from the card to a folder.

2. I transferred my backup to a new card, which is the one I used for testing.

3. I downloaded the time patch that our friend (Bristoliano) #100 shared, copied all the files, and it asked me to replace two files. I tried it, but it didn't work; the navigation system kept restarting, but the time was working.

4. I reinstalled my backup on my second card, without modifying my files, and then copied all the patch files to my card one by one, respecting the original file locations.

5. Finally, completely delete the folder (loopdir/loopback.ex3) from my memory card, which was part of the backup, since the file it contains is what causes the time error, as our other friend (MacPat) #18 explains very well.

For now, it's working without any problems.

loopdir/loopback.ex3 contains also other things, i left mine as it is. the files on the SD card have priority over the one in loopback and it seems that whatever is inside is also updated by the device.
i would guess that if you check you card now, you have loopdir/loopback.ex3 back on it

Yes, that's correct.
The problem is that when I insert the card into the folder, it keeps restarting.
I don't know the reason for the failure.

Hi, and thnaks for the fix. My clock is now working, however, audible warnings for speed cameras and being over the speed limit are no longer working. I've fiddled with all the settings, I get audible navigation instructions and the speed limit sign flashes red and the speed camera icon appears when approaching them, but no sounds, any ideas anyone.

Hi, the same thing happened to me and it fixed itself after driving a few kilometers. Now it works fine and warns me about speed cameras.

Everyone - if you're wanting to get your time display functioning before TomTom decide to fix it, or wait until sometime in August when the sat navs 'should' start showing the time again, please follow these simple instructions...

This works fine for my Carminat on a 2010 Renault Megane. Software version 8.843.

Go to the following link, and download the file. I didn't create it, it's not my work!

TomTom Time Patch to OEM SD card v8843.3130258.zip

Extract it so you see all the files in that one folder.

Eject your original SD card from your cars' Tom Tom device.

Place your original SD card in a card reader on your PC / Laptop. Copy the contents to a new folder, naming it something like Copy of Original TomTom SD card files... If you have a spare SD card, copy those files onto it.

Go back to the folder you have which contains the extracted files from the Google Drive Zip file that you have downloaded.

Copy the extracted contents of that downloaded folder directly onto either the SD Card from your TomTom, or into the folder of your new SD Card. Overwrite if asked to.

Place your SD Card in your TomTom device, switch on the device, and wait for the egg timer to go out...
After a few seconds or so, you'll be up and running again!

i have the same issue re the clocks, and sadly the the fix on post 100 didn't work for me. not sure if i did it right. but extracted the files put them on the cars sd card, inserted said card into my 2010 grand scenic, and it did nothing, i didnt even get the egg timer display. but i still have the issue with no clocks. not a techno phob for sure, just want my clocks back. thank you if anyone can help.

My audible speed limit alerts came back. Haven't passed a speed camera yet to check if that's working now. I just chose the remove card option in the menu, took it out, shut everything off, re-inserted the card, turned it on again and it's working It did take half a minute to get a GPS fix but that could just be a first time start up or something.

Do you try the HEX editor fix posted in #18 ?
If you need help, post the version of Carminat here.
My 2009 Grand Scenic clock is working again with the HEX editor.

please post here model car and maps version (Spain, europe...) so we can help you. The HEX row editor is 402920, but the column is 28, and before changing you must backup the file to restore if go bad.

I have a G-Scenic 3 2011. It had a Western Europe map,1110-11862.
It was an import from DE. It originally had DE_AT_CH 1120.
I have had it just over 2 years and after a few mods it had has been working fine here in Spain
France and Italy up until about 3 weeks ago.
(I had changed correctly 402928). I had previously at the onset of the problem used a fix from a Russian site for the clock et al, which worked until the next day.
Yesterday morning it surprised me by coming on again normally but after a couple of hours and a few car restarts etc we were back to "No map Found". I removed the SD and looked at it on the computer, surprise, surprise there was no map on the SD!!
I have the original SD with the German etc maps so I will copy it onto the SD again and start again ??
Any thoughts?

just noticed that 3+ GBts are occupied on the SD card, so i guess a map perhaps is hiding somewhere?
