Updating SD card in a 2010 Renault Megane

Hello all. We have just purchased a 2010 Renault Megane with the Carminat dash top TomTom system.
on looking at the 11.25 Version SD card for sale on e-bay the details state it is compatible with 2011 models onwards.

This seems odd. Can any one confirm if it will work in our 2010 model?

Not all maps purchased on Ebay will work
the best is to create an account on the Tomtom site then connect the SD to the computer and buy the map via Tomtom Home.

I will give that ago. I was just concerned about doing that as i was wondering if theirs also would not work but their site does not give any details about the cars these work in unlike the others i found.

If you connect your Sd to your Tomtom Home account automatically Tomtom Home will recognize your car model.
Anyway there are only two versions of Carminat model with live or without live.
