Question about version info

I have a question about the information that is displayed when I touch on the satellite area, then on the version info. The information I see on the GO is very different than if I do the same thing using Operate My GO, and again different if I use HOME to Show Contents.

On the GO it says:

App 8.302 (serial number?) OS: 244890
64 MB RAM (free 13.9 MB)
GPS v1.20, Boot 5.5015

the map and language info are the same.

On Operate My GO it says:

App 8.301 (a number) OS: 1000
128 MB RAM (free 128.0 MB)
GPS v1.20, Boot 1.0012

Show Contents in HOME says
Total capacity: 1956.2 MB
Free space: 190.1 MB
Application 8.302

I suppose the info on the GO is correct, but why does Show Contents and Operate My GO HOME show it so differently?

The information shown on the device is correct, any details that Home displays are best treated as an educated guess, they are not very often correct! - Mike

Trust whatever displayed on your unit.
HOME "Operate my GO" is just a simulator.
