My rider 400 seems to act a bit oddly when turned vertical, some time when going over a bump the screen goes upside down a stays there for some time, ideas please

Serious bump? It would be on the 'rebound' from the bump. When you first hit it, the sensor will be pressed 'down', but immediately after, it files 'up' to a position normally only seen when flipped, causing the device to briefly sense a 180 rotation.

I have not had a Rider 400 to play with, so can't say if your sensor is more sensitive than normal, or whether you're just hammering into larger bumps!

thanks for the feed back, I'm not hammering into bumps it's just some of our potholed UK roads
