Hi. I just got a nearly new One 140s. In status bar preferences, I only get one screen to choose from. My other One has 2. I would like to get rid of stuff I don't want and add the signal strength bars. Is anyone familiar with this One 140s? Thanks. -Mark

There is a preferences option for "Show fewer menu options" and "Show ALL menu options". Sounds like your 'new' unit is set up for the former.

A little reminder from your manual:

Thanks. This could be the problem, but I can't find this screen anywhere. Maybe just on the XL model? No problem with my 2 other One's, but they're older, with different software. I need to figure this out.

What are the first two characters of your devices' serial numbers, and what firmware version are each of those devices running?

The 2 older ones are One: PB running 8.010, One 3rd Edition: Y7 running 8.016, and the new one, One 140: PU running 9.541. It's the new 140 that I can't get the signal bars in the status bar, and can't remove unwanted info. I'm a truck driver, and I run in the mountains a lot and monitor signal strength. The older ones only pick up 4 or 5 satellites and then loose them after an hour or so, even after countless GPSfix updates. I'm wondering if the recievers are just worn out. They must be 15 years old. That's why I got the new one. Thanks.

It's crazy, Even the user guide the 140 came with shows the signal strength in the Status Bar in all the pictures. One of the first things I did when I got it was update to the latest Application. I wonder if that's the problem. Maybe I need an old application.

The ones still running 8.010 are going to have clock problems, among other things. The 9.541 firmware was designed to deal with the old 'GPS Week Number Rollover' problem (worth a quick search and read).

I don't know of any other ONE users that had problems with going to the 'simplified' screen mode after the update. That said, you might want to try what is discussed in this thread:

The process is fairly simple. Create the folder in the root as required, copy and past that content to a file in the new folder, and call the file tomtom.mnu.
