North America (1.4GB) maps on older One V2

I just purchased an older One v2 (4N00.004) over eBay. The maps are not on internal flash.
Can I upgrade to a 2GB SD card to make room for the North America (1.4GB) maps and extra POI, or is there a better way?
If I can, is this as simple as transferring the backup from my PC to the new card?

Congrats on the purchase. Dont look at the ONE v2 as the older one!
