New to Auto GPS

Howdy:

As a male...I'll have you know that I do not get lost. Completely confused yup ...lost nope.

However, the value of one of these units became instantly apparent when flying into Minneapolis in the evening (first time there), renting a vehicle and using a GPS system to find my hotel. Totally awesome.!

OK I'm sold...where do I get one..?? new/e-bay.

Month later add new BlackBerry which as a phone sucks in the user friendly section but is awesome as an e-mail client & basic mp3 player, therefore the hunt was on for a decent combo for BTooth, Mp3 etc. I think I have found it.

Being Delivered as I write via UPS.

2 Questions: Info I could not find prior to purchase.

Does this unit support HCSD cards 4Gb + (if not, is this a software issue and they might be supported in next release.?)
Does this unit have a stereo input jack (2.5 or 3.5mm).?

What unit are you referring to specifically? What GPS model?

Edit: Ok I noticed the GO720 beneath the message. It does support HCSD, but not directly with the software that comes with it, TomTom Home 2 (you cannot write to the card from the program). TT Home will only recognize SD, but the unit itself will recognize both SD and HCSD.

Welcome to the forum. I never get lost either. Sometimes though my car seems to be a bit confused. Post the model and I promise you will get some information on your query.

As with many forums...great resources - am appreciative.

So if Iunderstand correctly, one can write to an HCsd using say ones laptop, then plug it in to the TT and go from there..?

I have DL'd TT home...but of course without the unit cannot do much. S/B here in the AM hopefully.

prolly gonna go now to 720 forum...and hang out there
