GO : Automatic updates blocking navigation

Hello,
Today was the second time i had to go somewhere and got an update finalization prevening me from launching the app beacuse it needs to do some additional download to finish, which i can't do because i have no Internet access outside de house.
Is there a way to turn of those auto updates, or at least to know when the app has done an update so i can run it and finish while i have wifi access?
Running on a Motoral Xplay Android phone.

Could you tell us which model TomTom you are using.
The Serial Number should start with 2 capital letters.

Thanks for your reply.
I am not using a TomTom device. I use an Android phone with the TomTom GO application.

I am using version 1.140release/1.14 (1817) but do not get any automatic updates.
I do not even get a notification when Updates are available.
I am not very good with Smart Phones but presume it is somewhere in your Android settings that these Updates interfere with the route progress.
