Navigate to GPS Position

This may be a stupid question but I'm a new GPS owner. In the "Navigate to..." menu, on the second screen of my go 720, I have a un highlighted icon for "GPS position". Would anyone be able to tell me when that icon would be highlighted? I'm not sure I understand when it would be available or how it would be used. Thanks for any assistance.
 
It's not available because you are already at the GPS position.

The only time I seen it available is in the Browse Map function, when you click on Find, then Navigate to...
