My Go 710 cannot find new map

I purchased and downloaded via my TomTom Home onto a 2 gig sd card, a new East European map for my TomTom Go 710.
Whilst travelling through europe I needed to change maps (new sd card).
I had no problem changing cards, or my 710 booting up.
The only problem is it cannot find my new map.
When I connect my 710 to a notebook, I can see the files.

Is there anything I can do to get the 710 to read the new maps.

I have the western europe map on another sd card, but theres not enough space to put both on the same card.

Is there any files I can copy over from the western europe sd card and paste them into the eastern european maps.

I am currently travelling around europe with only a notebook with limited space work with.

Please help.

When you go to Manage Maps-->Switch map, what happens?
