More strange behavior...post auto update...solution!

Hi Folks,

I connected the trusty TT 910 to the HOME prog and it had a GPSquickfix update...so I figured to let it do it. No problem at all.

This AM however when I turned on the TT it was stuck on the splash screen and when I went to turn it off it would not fully turn off...the screen was still grey.

I reset the unit via the little button on the underside and it restarted fine.

The problem was that it took FOREVER to get any sort of a fix and when it did I was 12 miles away and it was giving me directions to God knows where...LOL.

I turned it on and off a few times and same thing.

The GPS page was saying I was in poor coverage.

Solution: I went back and reselected a Home position and let it boot up.

So far so good its all working.

I think this had to do something with this GPSquick fix update.

You can test that by delete the contents of ephermis (that could be a spelling mistake) directory. That would allow you to download the quickfx again.
