Irritating road crossing alert - TomTom XL

I have bought a TomTom XL Live IQ Routes and have been using it for 1-2 weeks. It is generally Ok, but there is something very irritating which I couldn't turn off via any setting: TomTom gives an alert before every road crossing with a "question mark in a truck kind icon" on the left top corner of the display. It also displays the remaining meters inside this icon. This is very useless. I couldn't find a setting to disable this alert. Is there anyone who can help me on this issue?

From your description, it appears to be one of the Safety Camera alerts.

Main screen-->TomTom Services-->Safety Alerts and scroll to the one you think is the offending item. Click on it and you'll be asked if you want to remove that alert.
