Installing UK Maps on TomTom XL bought in US

Can anyone help?
I bought a TOM TOM XL while in America last year and im wondering if there is enough space on the memory to purchase UK/Europe maps and install them on there as well?

If not, use Explorer to copy the USA map folder to the computer (also copy a folder simply called map, if there is one). Then, once sure the folders are saved, delete them from the unit. Then install the UK map on the unit.

BUT.........

insert the first 2 characters of the serial number in the following link to determine precisely what model (and memory size) you have. The answer will determine what limitations you face in getting the UK and other maps.
