Hyundai In Car Sat Nav

hi,

I have a 7 year old (65 plate) Hyundai Tuscon with a Sat Nav which They say is Tomtom software.

last year after 5 years of driving without issue it started getting an error saying "online Service licence expired"
I've been back and forth to Hyundai and they say that a trial licence has expired ( what after 6 years??) and I need to renew the licence direct with TomTom

there is no option on the satnav to update or renew Live services licences. and If I go on the tomtom website Hyundai is not even listed as one of their cars..

any had this issue? how to resolve it ? TOMTOM Support via the crappy chatbox is awful and can't speak to anyone...

Hi

Like many on-board GPS Tomtom only provides maps to the manufacturer Hyundai.

It's up to you to make the updates on the Hyundai manufacturer's website

I think to receive Live Live services you need to connect your phone to GPS. if your GPS does not have a SIM card.

No you connect your car to your phone via Wi-Fi hotspot and to get traffic and camera and other Live Services on your sat nav. but after 6 years of this working fine when you now connect your car to the phone wifi it says "online Service licence key expired"

It is the manufacturer Hyundai who should ask Tomtom why the online service license key has expired.

It's expired because that was the free period agreed between Tomtom and Hyundai. The problem is that neither Tomtom nor Hyundai are interested in providing a method for the user to renew the licence key.
