Introduction eh? Ok.
I'm a long haul trucker. I do specialized hauling; military trucks, fire trucks, heavy machinery, and assorted other oversized loads. It beats getting a job.
I've been using GPS on the job for a few years now, as well as for geocaching. I came across the TomTom Go 930 while road testing various units seeking a replacement for my aging Garmin Nuvi 350.
I was looking for something with a larger screen that would do the job for me. I went through several units of different brands/models before trying the 930.
I really like the fact that one can easily customize the TomTom as well as the community spirit aspect, including the user submitted map corrections. Very cool. As a long time Linux user that community aspect especially appeals to me.
After adding Tripmaster to the unit it's darned near perfect for me. I'm really happy with it.
