If you find that your unit (regardless of model) starts to reboot constantly after you've performed a map update, then do the following to resolve the problem (hopefully):

  1. Connect your unit to TomTom Home
  2. Start the emulator ("Operate my Unit") in Home
  3. Move to Manage Favorites
  4. Make a change to one favorite: (Add one, delete one or edit one, you decide).
  5. Create a "Navigate to..." or "Prepare route" route
  6. Disconnect your unit PROPERLY from the computer by using the little blue icon in the bottom right of Home's screen.
  7. Rebooting problem should be resolved.
