TomTom Model(s)
Go discover
I have just purchased a tomtom Go Discover and followed all instructions to sync my poi with the ov2 files only to find my unit is not compatible which seems a joke as I have over 700 poi I need to add for work is there anyway to add these to my device?.

That is just stupid they don't specify that in the description so little anyoned looks like I'm having to return and get another model then

It is for precisely this reason that we prefer our older GO 620 unit.

Honestly, I think you will be happier with this device >> https://www.tomtom.com/en_us/navigation/car-gps/go-supreme/
though even that generation only allows for display of 5 POI categories on the map at a time.

What model did you have before that had you collecting so many POIs?

"I have over 700 poi"
Most people would consider that a substantial collection!
If those 700 are in a small handful of actual *.ov2 files (5 or less), you'll be in good shape with the Supreme.

Same question than Justin30 . I have a TT Superior and I would like add my own POI. The proposed POIs collections in my TT Superior dont suit me. For instance, I am not looking for Indian Reserves or track grids in Europ

It is not possible to add personalized points of interest.

I have just also purchased a TomTom superior and am equally frustrated that I seem unable to transfer over the POI's in OV2 files from my old TT Go 1000 or that there appears to be no way of adding a folder for new POI's so things like POI's generated just for holiday are in a POI folder marked holiday. I can see me going back to using the old TT unit at this rate.

If you don't have too many poi to add, add your poi addresses to your favorites.

Thank you, I must admit that is the conclusion I am coming to, however, I've been collecting POI's for the last 10 years on the old device and had dozens of them and they are really handy when you want to revisit a place - I reckon I had over 100 on the old device. The new device also seems to have no way of grouping them into handy collections, like 'Devon Holiday' 'Route to Austria' etc. which makes finding them so much easier. I don't think this new OS is a patch on the old one. The new driving view is also going to take some getting used to. I am also going to miss all the information that was in the bar at the bottom of the screen too.
