Highway vs. Route

Every state road here is listed as Hwy X and announced as Highway X. Any way to change it to being listed as Rt X and announced as Route X?

I tried the LoquendoTTS/data/roadnrEnglishUS.lex - when I tried that it announced Rt. 27 - Reynolds Memorial Highway as Highway 27 - Reynolds Memorial Route.

If it's the road itself, you can rename it with mapshare. If it's the signposts, they can't be edited.
