POI Install process

Can anyone point me to a document or URL that explains the installation of POI files such as the Hampton file referenced here? (for a 510)

Also how can I view all the POI files on the system?

Just an FYI. There is no Hampton Inn in Mill Hall, PA as listed in this POI file. It is really in Lamar, PA off of 64 on Comfort Inn Ln.
