GO2535TM maps

If MyTomTom sees that there isn't enough space to hold both the existing North_America map and the desired Europe map, it will offer to move the North_America map to the computer prior to installation of the Europe map.

Unfortunately, with the new models, since the user has no access to the file system, The user can't do the moving of maps to/from computer/unit as was possible with the models on the old platform.

Where does a 1535 come into this equation?

If you meant the 2535, see dhn's answer in post #2.

Sorry, i think the 1535TM has a microSD slot. Thus, can you save directly to it or does it work the same way as dhn noted?

You can download and install a map from TomTom onto the SD of a 1535, assuming that there is enough free space on the SD card.

However - at the risk of mentioning something that you already know - when you download a map from TomTom, it is "locked" to the serial number of the device specified when the download is made. So it is not possible to download a map to the SD card in a 1535 and then use that map in a 2535, or even another 1535.

With best wishes,
- Tom -
