GO 1005 will not go into recovery mode

Hi i have a go 1005 camper and caravan tomtom, but it wont start. Ive contacted tomtom and they sent me a link to put it into recovery mode ( youtube ). i can get the white text up but it then starts, and freezes. i cant get it past this stage. ive emailed tomtom again last week but they havent replied. tia

Once the white text comes up, it shouldn't do anything until you are successful with the 3 fast taps on the power button ... and experience says it may take more than one attempt on the button to get it happy.
