Format TomTom?

The TomTom shows up as a hard drive in control panel on my computer. Is it possible to format the unit and start out fresh. Re-Download maps, POI's etc. I have an LE.
Any knowledge on this?

Reformatting is possible. But make sure that you have a backup copy of your map. The operating system software is freely downloadable from TomTom, but if you lose the maps, it will cost you a lot to get another.

Maybe you should ask yourself why you need to reformat.

I bought my TT LE on Black Friday and had a lot of problems. After several calls with customer service they had me format my TT and reload so YES you can.
