different continent maps on one chip?

I have a 720 and I am transferring my information over to a memory chip.

Can I put both the North America maps andthe Europe maps on the same chip?

Would the unit simply identify where it was and which maps to use?

You mean a sdhc card? Yes, but you want to make sure it is large enough to handle both the NA and the WE maps. I would suggest a 8-gig sdhc card, the faster the better, (class 4 minimum) from a reliable company. Many advertised on ebay are scams.

A 4-gig sdhc card might prove to be just too restrictive. But, once the maps are installed on the sdhc card, you can easily switch between the two by Manage Maps-->Switch maps.
