Device keeps switching off

Hello there, my TomTom device keeps turning off, then on, then off. I managed to get my route direction set up in between. It remains on for 20 or so seconds before turning off again, then comes back again by itself. When it is on there is a spinning wheel permanently spinning on the right side of the screen.
I have checked and installed the latest updates.
I have done a navigation reset.
I have done a software restore.
Is it dying?

Sorry I have tried to find the model number but it is nowhere - not on the device nor in my TOMTOM account

My GO Truck 6250 had the same problem. Battery was holding charge so not the problem. Cured by going to MENU > SETTINGS > SYSTEM > RESET DEVICE. Restores to factory settings so will have to log in to account to reload 'My places' etc, and reselect your preferences on various options.

I HAVE A VIA 620 and it turnes off randomly i tried turning battery saver off it helped for a day now its turning off

The Via 620 was first released in 2012. The battery in yours will be at least 12 years old at this point, and will be due for replacement. This may be the reason it is not possible to keep the device up and running without random shutdowns.

Hello If you wanted to read my offering you will see my unit does the same after an update.
Tomtom have been worse than useless in my situation. No its not my battery

If you shut off connectivity back to TomTom's cloud server ('Stop Syncing'), does the rebooting stop? Do you have custom POI files loaded on your device?

We called that one a Via 1605 here in the U.S., and Start 60 in many other parts of the world.

It will handle a 32GB card, though you'd be hard pressed to find enough goodies to fill one.
