Can not Renew my map update subscription.

Hi All, This is my first post, I have the Tom Tom 510 (I know it is old but it has served me well) It won't let me renew my new map subscription a box pops up to say that the Tom Tom Server did not understand the request and that Tom Tom home might need updating, well home has just been updated to version 2.9.5, I have never had this problem before can anyone please help me.
