can not get into manage device

I just bought a tomtom for my travel to Europe. It came with European maps. In main menu there is no option of mannage device which will allow me to change maps. How do I get into Main menu in order to change to European maps?

Make sure you have a gps fix.

Then there should be an option to manage maps-->switch maps and both the Europe and NA map should be listed.

If the menu structure on that model is the same as my XL, then you don't actually get "Manage maps" on that model, I just have "Switch map".

Now, your first tap on the centre of the screen should take you to the first page of the main menu - does that happen?

Then tap on Change preferences, and Switch maps will be on one of the preferences pages (it's page 3 of 6 on my XL). Use the arrow button to move from one page to the next.
