Do any of the TomTom devices provide altitude or elevation data?

Not built in, no.

But look for 'Tripmaster' in the 3rd party forum.

dhn and mikealster, thank you for the information. I will look at both. Would either of you know if you have to pay for traffic services on a TomTom device? I am thinking of buying an antenna, but won't if here are charges invloved for the service.

Newer models come with a 'T' which means lifetime traffic is included.

For older models you can buy a rds-tmc antenna which includes 1 year of traffic info in the States, then it is about $60/year after that.
