Does anyone know what i can do about my 740 thats isnt working

the quick story is that the stopped my subscription 3 days after i paid it now its straightened out but
i get an error message saying problems with the sim card
tom tom tells me there isnt no problem
after a total reset
i cant connect or unavailable
tom tom is says its shot
its about 18 months old
and they dont do repairs
any ideas

What do you mean by a 'total reset'? And you have a backup (hopefully Explorer, not Home) of your unit's contents?

Call back and get another rep. When you cancel subscription on USA units your SIM card is deactivated.

It never reactivates automatically, Tomtom has to manually activate the Jaspar SIM on their servers. Call back and ask the rep to manually activate the Jaspar SIM, if they don't know what you're talking about ask for a manager.

After the SIM is reactivated, give it 24 hours and try again.
 
Restart

What i meant by the total restart was to return to factory defaukts
i probably used the wrong term
