XL 30 Series won't start-up...

    Hi newbie here with a problem!

    My XL 30 Series (4EG0.001.09) would not start-up, just hung at the start screen. A soft reset didn't help.

    I followed the web instructions which suggest reinstalling the application by first deleting it from device and computer using 'Remove items' (there wasn't one on the computer to delete though). Then tried to reinstall the application as it suggested using 'Update my devive', however, contrary to the instructions, there was no new application listed only map share updates.

    So now I'm stuck, although I have now gained a flashing cross on start-up!

    I have emailed support but they say they will reply within 2 days.

    Any advice would be gratefully received.

    If nothing here helps, then why not call UK support instead of waiting for an email?

    We in North America find calling support here usually is more effective than emailing.
