TomTom Model(s)
VIA 1535TM
I have a VIA 1535TM and am trying to update maps on a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit OS.

I used the stock cable to connect to PC, on a verified USB port, and have MyDrive Connect Installed, and logged into.

When I insert the USB cable, held power button until 'drum roll', watch the TOMTOM screen for a bit, but there is no connection sound (OS doesn't 'see' it).

I've even tried Windows XP Mode...no avail.

Any suggestions?

Yes, I'm using the cable that came with the device. For kicks, even tried another cable, same result...nothing.

Had it been successfully recognized on this same PC previously? Did you recently install a newer version of MyDrive? And a side note: your personal info seems to indicate owning a prior TomTom that may have used Home as its PC app interface. A 1535 does not. Please advise if you have not already installed MyDrive.

The VIA 1535TM is the only TomTom I've owned. It was the same computer...but I've wiped and reinstalled Win7 Pro a few times since it was updated last...well at least until last night. It is going well now. MyDrive is installed now.
