3. Can you create your own POI? Yes, the old *.ov2 and *.bmp files from other units you might have owned can be carried across to this model as well

I am sorry for those questions I can't find the manual online, only the 1605tm. might be the same, I don't know. I do. I have one of those in front of me too (see sign line!). Same features.

In fact, your decision between a Via1535 and Via1605 should be determined upon two items alone. Price differential (at Amazon, the 1605 is only $6 more than the 1535) and whether you would like to have the higher resolution 6" screen of the 1605 instead of the lower 5" screen of the 1535.
