All the system really cares is that the unit be tied to a unique email address and password. You do that through Home as well. IF (and only if) the device has not previously been registered to another email account, you can create a new one.
When Home starts up, in the upper left, use "File" and "Log in". Over on the right, there is a button for "Create account".
