TT1 LE, NO maps found error.

New Tomtom One LE user, couldn't resist the price at BB. Anyway I powered the unit up and selected my country, right hand ect and it says "no Maps Found" Connected yo my PC and let it do it's update to the same errror message. Looked and there is a USA map folder. Doing a backup right now for safty. Not sure what to do now.

Try this: Go to 'Change preferences', 'Manage maps', 'Switch map'.

Does the map appear in the list. If so, press on its name to select it.

Your TomTom LE should work straight out of the box. If it doesn't return it to Best Buy. Its rare, but most likely, the maps were preloaded but corrupted. This happened to me. Updating the unit will not solve any problems.

Let it do a map update last night when I went to bed and all is good now.
