tomtome home wont start. fatal error

every time i try and start tomtom home version 2.5.2.60 i get an error message that says homeruntime.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

when i choose to debug it, i get this error message.

"homeruntime.exe failed with error 0: process failed to start up correctly. if problem persists, please reinstall from tomtom.com/home"

any ideas?

Goto Control Panel, Add/Remove programs and see whether you have any reference to .NET FRAMEWORK installed. If not, goto this site for it, dl and install. Then try installation of Home again.

im still getting this same message with 2.6 installed. i was only able to run the original version that came on the cd in the mean time. but that version will freeze when i try to install map corrections

any new ideas?

Are you using a pc or a Mac and, if a pc, XP or Vista?
