Tomtom Go app and Tomtom Go Premium
Hi, I have just returned from a trip in Sicily and used my Go premium extensively as the roads were completely unknown to us. Unfortunately, instead of taking 'regular' routes, TT took us onto the narrowest, bumpiest, unsuitable roads possible. I have tried to do something about this in settings but to no avail. I noticed that both Google maps and Waze seemed to have similar ideas. I get the feeling that TT thinks that because a little road has no specific speed limit, it will be quicker or maybe by using it we would lose a few metres in distance. Interesting though it was to go off the beaten track, nevertheless it was very confusing and frankly unnecessary.
I can't be the only person who has suffered in this way so would appreciate any suggestions on how to overcome this.

I experienced a similar scenario in France and Germany last week [Go Discover] and couldn't do anything to stop it taking inappropriate routes. TomTom routing has gotten considerably worse this past 4-months in my experience and includes USA, UK and mainland Europe.
Don't know what the answer is.
