I have tried my hand at making my own and I give up. I hope someone can help. Here is a pic of my actual car and one off the dealer's website.

Glad you like them, which are you going to use?

If you were getting lots of red bits around the car, the tricks I've found out (the hard way) are:
1. Crop and scale the image down to the right size (80x80 pixel) BEFORE adding the red border, and
2. Turn off any "feathering" AND/OR "anti-aliasing" in your paint program before drawing the red border and then filling the rest with red.

If you don't do both of those, you end up with lots of "nearly-red" pixels that show up as red in the end result.
