Hi,
I have a new problem with the map update of my Via125 I never had before:
The download of the map broke off when 70% was reached, and in a new window I got this message:

"Failed to download content for your TomTom Via 125 with ID BN3173T01881
Please consult your network settings.

The URL is as follows:
http://download-ephemeris.tomtom.com/nav3/ephemerides/gps-fix-20230215-103501.ttpkg."
I never had this message in 10+ years I am using this device...
My internet connection is perfect, the notebook OK.

I would like to know, if anybody else had problems like this in the last days with Mydrive?

PS: Sorry for my bad english. We should make a german corner in the forum...
Or I should learn better english... :)

Nothing at all wrong with your English! I never would have guessed where you live except for the little Budapest flag and your Digikabel connection!

What has happened is that the TomTom "QuickGPSFix" data wasn't transferred to your device. That's the info that provides your GPS with an idea of the satellite constellation so you get a GPS fix quicker when you power on your device. The info is good for a week or somewhat longer. It should have been possible to select which downloads you wanted, and you should be able to exclude this download until after your map download is successful.

Did the MAP transfer OK? Does your device have a functioning map now? If not, try the map download again, but do NOT select the QuickGPSFix download this time. If the map download still fails, let us know and we'll help you to restart it from the beginning.

Once we know that you are OK with the map, we can deal with the ephemeris data (QuickGPSFix) problem.

Also - notebooks have been known to go into 'sleep' mode at bad times, killing the connection. Were you watching when the error occurred? Was the notebook still 'awake'?

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. :)
I checked the device, and yes, the map is the 11.05, so the map transfer was OK, and as you said, only the GPS fix is the problem.
When I open Mydrive connect now, I have one update left (the GPS fix), but this update is not downloadable, and I get the same error message in the box ...
PS: I was watching the notebook, when the error occured. :) The error box appears in the middle of the download (the files to the notebook), and on this point the process stops.

having same problem here too. cant download files to computer because it comes up with this message, despite me using the PC on other sites without issue

same message http://download-ephemeris.tomtom.com/nav3/ephemerides/gps-fix-20230215-103501.ttpkg

tomtom needs to fix this issue as its new as my device is constantly connected to the PC when not in use, and never goes to 'sleep' when its updating. spent 3 days trying to update everything, but the downloads will NOT download. keep getting a 'check internet connection' message but it works fine

Is everything EXCEPT this one ttpkg downloading and installing correctly?

apparently its a map update. justinstalled a quickfix gps update alone OK but it wont download the map update. if i click retry it carries on for a moment then brings the message back.

What message? This same one about the ephemeris package
http://download-ephemeris.tomtom.com/nav3/ephemerides/gps-fix-20230215-103501.ttpkg
or a different message?

Need to be sure that only ONE thing is selected for download at a time for now, with the others deselected.

If there was a map download, it would be clearly identified as such in MyDrive Connect.

Can you create a screen shot of what bits and pieces MDC is offering to update for you?

the map update has now disappeared from MDC but the message still appears as a pop up on my PC screen. if i click the 'retry' button it will sometimes give me a box to 'verify my connection' which, when done, it brings up a green tick to say everything is OK and then disappears for a while before reappearing.
MDC is becomming increasingly bad. it used to be great but now, useless. i used to click 'update all' and off it went. slowly but it did its thing. now its slower than ever and doesnt even do its job any more. and no i cant screenshot anything (especially the pop ups)

Good. You are up to date.
I would recommend that you clear out the MyDrive Connect cache now.

Use the systray icon. Right click. Select "Settings"
Select the "DOWNLOADS" tab
Click on the "Empty download folder" button, then "Confirm"
You won't get any kind of feedback from doing this except the "Empty download folder" button will go gray.

That may get rid of the nag message.

thanks. i seemed to need to go around doing this in a slightly different manner but got to the same screen (i think) and emptied download folder (i think!) so have to see what it does now. thanks.

The 520 Pro Truck has stopped recognising the A12 Blackwall tunnels in London UK since last update, it tries to send you 25 miles around ?

Since you have a 520 Pro, be sure your truck specs didn't get changed or hazardous goods weren't accidentally toggled. Both could prevent tunnel use if incorrect.
