No "route recalculation" message on Tom Tom Go 720

I am a new TomTom 720 user. I found when I drive differently from the route originally planned, the GPS can recalculate, but never give a warning message like my old GPS does. Is it the way it is or is there a setting somewhere to turn it on? Thanks.

That's the way it is. There is no setting to change it.

Actually, I prefer it this way. I found it highly annoying when my previous GPS units kept announcing that they were "recalculating."
