Is the Dunkin Donuts POI file corrupt?

Tried to download the Dunkin Donuts POI from both TomTom Plus and the Forum but the files won't open - error message NOT A VALID .ov2 FILE appears on the PoiEdit 2007 screen. Does anyone know of a fix for this? BTW I've downloaded other .ov2 files with no problems what so ever!

Hey Mike

No it's not corrupt, its just a protected file. Using POIEdit or even TT's POI tools won't allow you to open or edit the file.

Thanks for the reply DF. Is there any way around that or just how does one load TomTom's copy or Jason's TT Forum copy of the file?

There probably is a workaround as there are ways of creating your own POI.dat, so I suppose you can use the same technique for editing POI's from TT. However, to be honest I never tried.

Installing a POI should be as usual. Probably downloading from TT HOME will be the easiest as when it finishes downloading it will prompt you to install.
