How do you take it apart??

I have a TomTom One XL*S which I want to take apart to determine the number of the dead battery.
It has four Torx #8 screws, one in each corner of the rear.

Are there any tricks to seperating the front and rear cases?

Any suggestions? I know this has been done by anyone changing the battery. No one can tell me if the battery in the XL*S is the same as the one in the regular XL, but I believe it is.
