How can I sort POI List?

OK! I got the question of multiple POI Lists and Files answered earlier - now here is another!

I've downloaded and MERGED several similar or closely related POI files. But the individual files are just merged one after another.

How can I sort the combined data into some reasonable sequence - by Lat or Lon for instance.

Any Ideas????
