If the Tom Tom Rider 550 is connected to the battery should it have an inline fuse, if so what rated fuse, I read somewhere the there is a fuse in the mount ????

It is recommended to connect the + wire after the ignition like that of the motorcycle lights so that the GPS turns off when you turn off the ignition.

Hi there @Keralagreen -

A few years back, I also noted that another TT user on the now defunct official TomTom forum had indeed claimed that there was a built in fuse circuit within the slide mount, but this isn’t user repairable. I would recommend connecting an inline fuse just to be on the safe side. I have 2 extra accessory circuits on my bike (ignition live only) which are terminated by bullet connections and they are both individually protected by a 3 amp fuse of which one I am using for my Rider.
