Chargers for XL 340S

I have an XL 340S and I bought a Home Charger to keep it charged without having it hooked up to my PC. I have since learned, from the TomTom website that some models don't recommend this method for charging. The same applies with the Fast Charger. It's a bit confusing when I read the box as to what specific models apply. Any help would be appreciated.

That's interesting what you say that the site says some models shouldn't be charged this way. All I know is that on occasion, I've connected the usb cable to an a/c adapter to charge three different tomtom models with no ill effect.

As long as the adapter keeps the charge to under 5 volts, I don't see an issue. But I'm sure those more knowledgeable in this area will correct me.....
